In a desert, it is usually dry and hot in the day time. At night it can reach freezing temperatures. Deserts can get some rainfall but not much. That is why it is really dry. Some plants that are in desert biomes are barrel cactus, brittle bush, Chainfruit Cholla, Cerosote Bush, Crimson Hedgehog Cactus, Desert Ironwood, Joshua Tree, Jumping Cholla, Mojave Aster, Ocotillo, Palo Verde, Pancake Prickly Pear Cactus, Saguaro Cactus, Soaptree Yucca and Triangle-Leaf Bursage. Some animals are Armadillo lizards, Babbed Gila Monsters, Bobcats, Cactus Wren, Coyote, Desert Bighorn Sheep, Desert Kangaroo Rats, Desert Tortoise, Javelina, Cactus Ferruginoug Pygmy Owls, Sonoran Desert Toads, Sonoran Pronghorn Antelope and Thorny Devils. Deserts would be found in places near the equator and or on land that has a little amount or no water inland such as Australia, Indonesia, Africa, etc.
